The township of Burra is small, yet by far one of the most fascinating and impressive holiday destinations. With its relaxed atmosphere and friendly community spirit, a stay in Burra is a head-start along the road to total ambience. There is so much to see and experience, so why not stay for a while.
Enjoy a romantic weekend in this peaceful haven away from the noise & bustle of the city. Relax with family or friends on the secluded back patio sipping your complimentary wine, if you stay for more than one night that is, and why wouldn't you? Enjoy curling up by the open fireplace on cold evenings and stay cool under the air-conditioner in the warmer months. Tea and coffee facilities are available to welcome you, and all other food and drinks can be purchased at the nearby Market Square.
For the more energetic and those who appreciate the environment, there are plenty of walking trails around town or the Redbanks Conservation Park to enjoy this pristine natural setting.
If history is your passion, there are many opportunities to explore historical sites and learn about the history of this copper mining town at several museums, mines, and the old Redruth Gaol. Ask the friendly staff at the Burra Visitor Centre for more information. |
